General Instructions For Patients Undergoing Surgery:

The hospital will call you the day before to tell you where to go and what time. Please adhere to the following instructions:

1. Do not eat or drink anything after midnight the night before your procedure.

2. Do not take any aspirin, Coumadin, Motrin, vitamins or herbal supplements for seven days before the procedure (Tylenol is OK).

3. If you usually take your blood pressure medication in the morning, please take it with a very small sip of water the morning of your surgery.

4. Please make arrangements to have an escort take you home.
